1. Sports
By Giorgio Scala November 9th, 2021 I choose this photo because it is a really interesting photo of the game Water Polo. The camera is focused in on the two players battling and the ball flying towards the goal. Water pictures are very hard to take because the water has a mind of its own and cannot easily be controlled to look the way you want it to. Also Water Polo is really fun to play. |
6. Travel
By Kyle Aiton 2020 I chose this photo mainly because of it is Alaska. This is the one state I always wish I can travel to. To me I just see natural beauty with this picture. You have the whale jumping out of the sea while the trees and mountains line the rest of the photo. The lighting is not the best but I still love the photo. |
7. Historical Events
By Joe Rosenthal Feb 23, 1945 This is by far one of my favorite photos of history. It may be black and white but that doesn't matter. This photo speaks to me because it signifies the conclusion of WWii for America. It wasn't the end of the war exactly but it helped us get closer to that victory. Its a very good photo for how bulky the cameras were back then. |
10. Portrait
By Steve McCurry 1984 Its hard to believe that this photo was taken in 1984 because of how good it looks. The vibrant colors make this photo stand out from all the others. Her eyes take your focus as if she is staring straight back at you as if your gazes are met and can't be broken. I really like the red with the green back ground. |
